In working as a psychotherapist, I have witnessed the healing power of psychotherapy groups. I have had the opportunity to run Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and addiction recovery groups. I love being able to educate individuals in order to empower them to take control over their healing process. I also love watching how healing can occur in a group process.

DBT is a skills-based group that helps individuals cope more effectively with intense emotions, addictive behaviours and relationship struggles. The DBT-informed psychotherapy groups are separated into 4 modules that are 8 weeks in length. These modules are: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation and distress tolerance.
